Brief History

Buhongwa College of Health and Allied Sciences (BUCOHAS) is a Health Training Institution established in 2020 by a team of committed and highly experienced health professionals, including Pharmacists and Medical Doctors. The College is fully accredited by the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) under Registration Number REG/HAS/263. The College is located in Usagara, along Kisesa Road, near Olympic Petrol Station, Mwanza City, Mwanza Region.

The College is strategically located in a spacious and conducive environment in Usagara, one of the main gateways to Mwanza City. It occupies over seven (7) acres of fully surveyed land secured under a Title Deed. The serene, accessible, and conducive setting provides an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning, research, and professional development in accordance with NACTVET standards and relevant Ministry of Health requirements.

Our College follows the National Technical Awards (NTA) system under the National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) and guidelines from the Ministry of Health and respective Professional Councils.
